HOWARD TRUSCOTT – VETERINARY SURGEON
Howard grew up in Lincolnshire. After graduating from Edinburgh University he joined Eastgate where he has been ever since.
Howard enjoys all aspects of medicine and surgery but particularly Orthopaedics. Outside of work he enjoys cycling through the forest and walking his dog which keeps him fit(ish) and sane(ish).
KATY ELLISON – VETERINARY SURGEON
Katy qualified from Cambridge veterinary school in 1999. She worked in mixed practice in Wisbech for 4 years before joining Eastgate Veterinary Group in 2003, spending most of her time at the Thetford surgery. She is married and has 2 young daughters. She also shares her life with 4 chickens, 2 hamsters and a labrador. In her spare time she enjoys playing the violin in the Suffolk Sinfonia and the Ipswich based Wolsey Orchestra.
NICKI CHANDRA-RAJ – VETERINARY SURGEON
Nicki was born and brought up on a small farm in North Yorkshire. She studied Veterinary Medicine at Liverpool University. She qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon in 2001 and spent her first summer after graduation working for an animal welfare charity. Her first year of work back in the Uk was spent working at a busy orthopaedic referral hospital in Cheshire. In 2002, Nicki happily settled in Bury St Edmunds and joined the Eastgate Vets team.
She is married to a local doctor and has a daughter and son, who both attend the local schools. They have a cheeky tabby cat Ted, who was adopted from work. She enjoys fitness, travel, gardening and spending time with family and friends, and exploring the local area.
SADIE WORGER – HEAD NURSE
Sadie completed her training here with Eastgate after her carrying out Animal Care Course at college. She has worked here since 2002 and took on the role as head nurse in 2007. Since then she has also gained her pet health councillor qualification. Sadie has recently gone part time since becoming a mum to a little boy.
DONNA GOODERHAM – VETERINARY NURSE
Donna joined the Eastgate nursing team in 2004 during a work placement here as part of her degree in BSc Veterinary Nursing. Donna obtained her degree in 2008 and has been in the Thetford Eastgate team on a permanent basis since then. In her spare time she enjoys running and crafting!
She lives with her husband and their cat Pumpkin, who Donna will often have a tale to tell about her feisty behaviour!
TINA PLUMLEY – VETERINARY NURSE
Tina first started working at Eastgate in 2004. She qualified as a vet nurse in 1995 and had previously worked at the RSPCA for 11 years. Tina started at Eastgate part time as she has two small children (not so small now) but has gone on to work full time again now they are older. In her spare time she loves to go running and is a longstanding member of Thetford Athletic Club. She also joined Thetford Players and enjoyed her role in August 2016 in the musical Oliver and most recently My Fair Lady.
CHARLOTTE HURRELL – VETERINARY NURSE
Charlotte started her training at Eastgate in 2012. She qualified as a foundation degree nurse at the College of West Anglia in October 2015. Charlotte enjoys spending her free time with her little dog Jasper.
CARMEN LYONS – VETERINARY NURSE
Carmen started at Eastgate in 2012 as work experience and became reception staff in 2013. She started the degree nursing course in September 2014 and completed all the training within the different branches at Eastgate. She has now proudly qualified.

RONNY ORME – RECEPTIONIST
Ronny joined the practice in 2013, having moved from a surgery in Essex. She lives with her husband and two gorgeous Golden Retrievers in Suffolk. She enjoys socialising with friends, travelling, gardening and cooking her home-grown vegetables and fruit.
REBECCA ADAMS – RECEPTIONIST
Rebecca joined the practice in April 2016. She lives at home with family in Thetford where she grew up. She lives with her lazy Lhasa Apso Bella and her grumpy rabbit Derek. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family (especially her young sister), walking and reading.
KERRY SMITH – RECEPTIONIST
Kerry joined the practice in April 2016. She lives with her husband Gavin and cheeky Rottweiler Tally. She was brought up on a farm and has always had a passion for horses and animals. In her spare time she enjoys horse riding, biking, walking and spending time with family and friends.
