Nurse clinics

We offer appointments and clinics with our team of friendly nurses, to help with a range of issues.

We have a great team of Registered Veterinary Nurses, who offer a range of clinics to help you with your pets’ health.

Nutrition

Advice on feeding for all life stages from the newly born to the elderly. Our nurses are happy to discuss all aspects of your cat, dog or other small animal’s nutrition.

Weight clinics

Keeping your pet at the correct weight is an important part of keeping them healthy. If your pet needs to lose weight, our nurses can offer the advice and support you need. We can supply appropriate diets which will help your pet lose weight whilst maintaining an adequate nutritional balance.

Blood sampling

If your pet needs a blood sample, our nurses are here to help. A vet will then call you with the results when they are ready.

Administering medication

If you struggle to give your pet tablets or apply spot-ons, or they need a regular injection, then our nurses can help to make this a less stressful experience.

Juvenile checks

These are developmental checks of young cats and dogs of around five months of age. The nurse will examine and weigh your pet and give advice and support on feeding, neutering, behaviour and any other concerns you may have.

Senior (Prime of Life) Pet Clinics

Health checks on pets of 8 years and older are recommended every 6 months. These clinics can provide a valuable early warning system for problems that may be starting to emerge in older pets. Some older pets with health problems may need to be referred to a veterinary surgeon.

Post-operation checks

Most pets are examined a few days after surgery and our nurses are trained to carry out these checks. They can remove sutures or staples at the appropriate time after the operation.

Pet Health Plan clinics

Members of our Pet Health Plan receive an extra health check every year by our nurses.

Dental checks

Dental disease is common in pets. Our nurses can check your pets’ teeth and advise you the best of course of action to keep their mouths healthy.

Anal sac expression

If the vet has advised that your pet needs regular anal sac expression, then our nurses are able to carry this out to keep your pet comfortable.

Nail clipping

Routine nail-clipping of most pets, from cats and dogs to more exotic animals, can be performed.

Microchipping

This quick and relatively painless procedure can be carried out by nurses. It provides a permanent identification for your pet, which can be vital in recovering them if they become lost or injured. Microchipping is a legal requirement for all dogs.
